Press Release: Troy Newman and the All Life Is Sacred Rally

“Troy Newman to Speak at All Life Is Sacred Rally, Sponsored by CEC For Life”

WASHINGTON D.C., Jan. 18, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — The international pro-life ministry, CEC For Life, will be changing the name of their annual youth rally. What was formerly referred to as the “CEC For Life Youth Rally” has finally been given an official name: The All Life Is Sacred Rally, sponsored by CEC For Life.

“‘All Life is Sacred’ has become the banner statement for this ministry,” said Director Fr. Terry Gensemer. “We want our event in Washington to reflect that truth. We also want everyone, no matter what their religious background, to feel welcomed to this event.”

CEC For Life is looking forward to another great event that will compliment the many other significant events going on during the March for Life.

There has also been a last minute change regarding the guest speaker for this year.

In the past, CEC For Life has brought in the most prominent and effective pro-life leaders in the movement like Fr. Frank Pavone, Star Parker, Brandi Swindell, Bryan Kemper, Georgette Forney of Silent No More, and their denomination’s very own Patriarch — Bishop Craig Bates — to speak at both the Rally on the evening of the March and the prayer vigil in front of the Supreme Court on the day of the March.

They have heard from speakers in the global medical community as well, like Dr. Sean O’Domhnaill and Dr. John Bruchalski, and have invited Irish pro-life leaders like Eoghan De Faoite of Youth Defence and Bernie Smyth of Precious Life Northern Ireland. CEC For Life constantly strives to bring in solid speakers who are passionate about pro-life and have a relevant message for young and old alike.

This year, Noelle Moll of Life 4 All Ministries in Kansas City was scheduled to be the speaker. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Noelle had to cancel her trip to DC as well as her speaking engagement for the All Life is Sacred Rally.

On January 22nd, at 7pm in the Discovery Ballroom of Holiday Inn Capitol, CEC For Life will welcome Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, as this year’s guest speaker.

Troy has actively worked on behalf of the preborn for over twenty years. His work is responsible for the closure of dozens of abortion clinics around the nation, and he continues as an innovator of new tactics that have helped close abortion clinics and garner criminal prosecutions for abortionists from coast to coast.

In 2006, Troy bought and closed Central Women’s Services, an abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas, that has been renovated and now serves as Operation Rescue’s national headquarters and a memorial to the preborn. His groundbreaking work has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and CNN.

CEC For Life is extremely excited to hear Troy Newman share his methods and wisdom with the generation who can and will make abortion unthinkable.

The Feast of Our Lord the Giver of Life, from Patriarch Craig Bates

On January 15th, 2012, the Charismatic Episcopal Church celebrates the Feast of our Lord the Giver of Life.

John 10.10 reads, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it abundantly.” On this coming Feast Day, the Church proclaims that it is in relationship with the Risen Christ so that men and women may find true life. Because Jesus not only gives abundant life, He alone is life. (John 14.6)

John 10.10 also reminds us that the Church is in a spiritual war. This scripture tells us, particularly those of us in the North American Church, that the battle line is drawn between a post-modern, hedonistic, consumer driven, materialistic, contraceptive culture of death and the liberating, restoring, reconciling, eternal Gospel culture of life. This is an ancient spiritual battle that has crossed time and space, and it will be waged until our Lord – the giver of life – finally comes again to fully establish His Kingdom.

As you read this letter, thousands of babies will be murdered in the womb of their mothers. Thousands of women and men will remember today as the day they aborted their child, and they will be scarred for life–physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Why are these children murdered? Because the enemy is waging a battle, and he has argued very effectively that poverty is a result of giving birth to children. There is just too much life. If we had fewer children, the argument goes, then we would have less poverty, less disease, and less hunger. Abortion is aimed not at the rich, who have all the resources, but at the poor.

This is just as true in the the United States as it is anywhere else. The African American community, for example, is disproportionately targeted by the abortion industry. Since 1973, over 25% of the black population has been exterminated by abortion. Today, almost as many African American babies are aborted as are born, making it three times more likely for a black baby to be killed in the womb than a white baby. In fact, In the last 30 years, more than twice as many African Americans have died from abortion as from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer and heart disease combined.

The abortion industry seeks to convince women and men, especially those who are impoverished, that their life would be better and easier without children. That is why Planned Parenthood operates the largest chain of abortion clinics in the United States with 80% of them placed in minority communities. And African American women, though they only make up 13% of the American population, have 35% of all abortions, earning the US abortion industry more than $16,000 an hour for the killing of African American babies. International Pro-life Youth Conference from Timmerie’s Blog

International ProLife Youth Conference Day 1

As the first day of the International ProLife Youth Conference (IPYC) comes to a close, over 300 young people from across the world are going to sleep energized about the pro-life work they have been activated to participate in. The speakers and panelists have done an incredible job of truly inspiring the next generation to be apart of the global movement for life. I know that incredible pro-life leaders will come from this conference and numerous lives will be saved. As promised, here is what you’re missing if you weren’t able to joins us at the conference.

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”

After opening up the conference with the above quote from Ellie Wiesel, master of ceremonies, Reverend Patrick Mahoney, from Christian Defense Coalition shared the main goal of the IPYC, “to leave transformed” in two ways: we do not want to be silent about abortion and we want to take a side on abortion. Speak out against abortion!

Building a Culture of Life — Lila Rose

After sharing about her prolife journey and her first exposure to abortion at age 9, when she found a book on abortion with images of little aborted babies that shocked her. After getting over the initial shock of learning that what was shown in those pictures was abortion, and that abortion was/is a constitutional right because of Roe v Wade, Lila prayed “Lord, use me to help save lives.” Isn’t it amazing what God does when you give yourself? Since then, Lila Rose has been effective in exposing the sexual abuse of Planned Parenthood and much more. You can learn more about her work atLiveAction.org.

Bishop’s love for Alzheimer’s-stricken wife inspires blog, book

Credit: Jill Nance / The News & Advance

LYNCHBURG,VA – Bishop Philip Weeks places his hands on the arms of the chair and leans down to face his wife, June. “Do you love me?” She continues singing the soft, garbled song that only she can understand. “Fifty-six years tomorrow is our anniversary. How about that?” He leans closer and smiles. She smiles. “She’s the nearest thing to perfection that I’ve ever known,” said Weeks, as he sits on a small couch across from June.

When he looks at her, he still sees the feisty woman he had to ask four times to marry him before she finally said, “yes.” Love is blind. Alzheimer’s and dementia slowly swept that June away years ago, taking first her memory, then her daily walks and now her speech.

Weeks, a missionary priest for decades, retired from his role as a charismatic Episcopal bishop in 2005 to care for June full time in their Lynchburg home. Today, 10 years after the first diagnosis, June has vascular dementia and Lewy Body Dementia, a unique disease with unique symptoms such as hallucinations and a decline that is anything but gradual.

“Hey kids look, its a white stork, the bird that delivers babies!” Fr. Steve Powers said to his children as they stood outside the Family Planning Associates Medical Group in Orange.

All Night Prayer Vigil at Planned Parenthood

Fr. Steve Powers writes, “I was amazed to see 22 zealous Pro-lifers, from ages 13 to 71, gather at Planned Parenthood, 700 Tustin Avenue, on the night of August 21; and later even more humbled to see 16 of them brave enough to stay until 5:30 AM.
We began the night with prayer and worship, while holding Pro-life signs on the public sidewalk. As the night progressed, the acolytes began setting up for the Memorial Mass. Before we started, I looked up and saw the moon in a perfect half, one half brightly glowing and the other half dark and black. The Lord spoke to me saying, ‘ you are all exactly where you should be in this gap of time. You are exactly in the middle, dividing day and night, separating good and evil, and being a moral witness to mankind.’
As the acolytes continued to ready the table for Mass, I waited and prayed. When it was finished, and I began the Mass, the Lord prompted me to look at the time; it was exactly 12:00 midnight. The Lord spoke again, saying, ‘you are exactly were you should be, dividing the day from the night. You are standing in the gap, pushing away dark evil and bringing in the light of Christ. You are being a witness even in the dark of the night’, pronouncing that a new day has dawned for those lost in the dark. The old day has passed and the new day has begun.”

Sidewalk Counseling and Witnessing at Family Planning Association and Spectrum Center

by: Gavin Harris

On September 10, 2011 a small group of people from the CEC4life of the West, led by Fr.Steve Powers, gathered together at an FPA (Family Planning Association) clinic to side-walk council. Also joining us in witnessing was a group from Calvary Chapel who joined later in the morning. During the time spent at the clinic it did not just rain, it poured. But, even under these conditions, God’s children from three years old to fifty years old stayed and protested against the daily slaughter of the innocent. That day at the clinic, at least a dozen were lost. For that dozen that lost there lives by deceit, one lived. Thirty minutes ago a husband had dropped off his wife at the clinic. Upon returning he stopped next to Fr. Steve, and said, “We’re not doing it.” As we rejoiced over the saved life a cry when up saying “It was the stork!” Everyone agreed that the stork was a sign from God. Before leaving the clinic our group gathered in front of the building and preformed the liturgy for the pre-born, praying for those twenty who lost their lives that day, and all those who came before them. The Holy Spirit was so strong that the clinic workers actually closed the blinds of the windows in an attempt to hide from the power they felt.

International Pro-life Youth Conference in Los Angeles to be Co-sponsored by CEC For Life

Contact: Sarah Howell, 910-303-2601

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ — With a call to young people for a global pro-life movement, today several youth organizations from around the world are announcing the first ever International ProLife Youth Conference (IPYC) in America, set to take place on November 11-13, 2011.

The international event will be hosted by Students for Life of AmericaSurvivors of the Abortion Holocaust (US), and Ireland’sYouth Defence – yes, that’s how they spell it over there.

The co-sponsor list is a who’s who of pro-life youth activist groups from both here in the United States and around the world.

Young people everywhere are invited to come and hear internationally recognized pro-life speakers. Leaders like Bernadette Smyth of Precious Life in Belfast, Fr. Frank Pavone ofPriests for Life, Lila Rose from Live Action, Kortney Gordon from Students for Life, Ide Nic Mahthuna from Youth Defence, and many, many  others.

As the world gets smaller every day, the battle against abortion must become a united fight for life. This conference will network young people into a global movement for life. We are confident the relationships forged here will have positive effects for years, maybe even decades, to come.

The education side will be equally valuable. From China’s one child policy, and its resulting forced abortions, to India’s hidden genocide of female babies, IPYC will tackle numerous evils of abortion while also showing the youth of the world how to stand against them. As the number one ideological exporter of abortion, America is a fitting place to launch this global movement for life.

“Abortion is a human rights issue,” states Kristina Garza, Director of Campus Outreach for Survivors. “We must come together as young people and throw off the culture of death the older generation embraced.  This generation is pro-life.”

Registration opens today at InternationalProlifeYouth.com
